Rating changes are calculated using a fixed initial rating for all games.
This differs from official FIDE calculations, which are performed sequentially (game by game) and separately for each tournament.
FIDE applies a limit where K × number of games ≤ 700 per rating period. If exceeded, K is automatically reduced.
How to use this ELO calculator
This tool calculates your rating change based on your full tournament results. You should enter all your available games. Calculating rating changes one game at a time will lead to inaccurate results.
What is the K-Factor?
The K-factor determines how much your rating changes after a tournament. K40 is used for new players or under 18, K20 for most players, and K10 for experienced players who have reached a 2400 rating.
Enter all games
Add each opponent and result. The calculator computes your total rating change using the official FIDE method based on your overall performance.
Avoid common mistakes
Rating changes are not calculated independently for each game. They depend on the full set of results and the strength of your opponents.
